Roam Ready is an adventure-focused travel planning company that designs thoughtful, personalized trips for people who want meaningful experiences without the stress of planning. We specialize in outdoor-forward, experience-rich travel. From custom itineraries to surprise trips.
We don’t sell pre-packaged vacations or push specific resorts. Instead, we build trips around you: your interests, comfort level, pace, and curiosity. Think of us as your personal adventure planner, logistics brain, and calm voice when things feel overwhelming. We not only book accommodation and transportation, but also find you all of the experiences you might enjoy and create a list you can easily choose from.
Roam Ready is for travelers who want something more thoughtful than a standard vacation. That includes outdoorsy folks, adventurous beginners, couples, solo travelers, and small groups who want a plan they can trust.
Not at all. Many of our clients are new to adventure travel or getting back into it after time away. We design trips that feel exciting but still realistic and comfortable.
No. While the outdoors plays a big role in many of our trips, comfort still matters. We plan everything from cozy cabins and boutique stays to camping trips in tents under the stars. It is completely up to you and your preferences.
Custom Adventures
A Custom Adventure is a fully personalized trip designed specifically for you. Nothing is pulled from a template. Every detail is planned around your interests, timeline, group size, and comfort level.
Basecamp plans start at $150 per trip while Summit plans start at $300 per trip. Pricing varies based on trip length, complexity, and group size. Most Custom Adventures fall between $350 and $900, with higher-tier options available for longer or more complex trips. You’ll receive clear pricing after your consultation.
Most Custom Adventures take about 2 to 4 weeks from consultation to final itinerary, depending on complexity and response times.
Yes. Most planning packages include revisions so we can adjust and refine the trip until it feels right.
• Basecamp Plans: A detailed DIY itinerary with everything you need to book confidently and know what to expect. It takes the hours of research off of your shoulders and narrows down your options so that they're all in once place.
• Summit Plans: Perfect for travelers who want a hands-off experience. We handle bookings: lodging, activities, restaurant reservations, and transportation, so all you have to do is show up. You’ll also get access to our traveler support team during your trip (call, text, or email if anything comes up).
Surprise Trips
A Surprise Trip is a fully planned adventure where the destination stays a secret until shortly before departure. You choose the dates, budget range, departure airport, and general travel style. We take care of the rest.
Yes, with a few practical guardrails. You’ll receive important details ahead of time like weather expectations, packing guidance, and safety notes. The destination itself is revealed just before you go.
That’s completely fair. Surprise Trips are best for travelers who enjoy letting go of control and trusting the planning process. If that doesn’t sound like you, a Custom Adventure may be a better fit.
We use a detailed questionnaire and consultation to understand your preferences, dislikes, comfort levels, and non-negotiables. The surprise is the destination, not the quality of the experience.
Surprise trips are unique. You give us your total budget, and we plan your trip within it. Our planning fee is 15% of your total budget.
Logistics & Communication
Your full itinerary will arrive as a digital PDF in your email, complete with clickable links. If your trip includes trails, bike routes, or other mapped activities, we’ll also send GPX files for offline use.
We plan everything from 2–3 day weekend getaways to multi-week adventures.
For all packages, we’re available by email and phone during planning. If you book our Summit Plan or Surprise Trips, you’ll also get in-trip support: call, text, or email us anytime and we’ll help troubleshoot whatever comes up.
Safety & Liability
No. We’re trip planners and consultants, not guides. You’re responsible for your own safety and decisions on the ground. We will connect you with trusted local guides if you want a guided experience.

We carefully research and recommend trusted options, prioritizing reputable providers and well-established routes. That said, every adventure carries some level of risk. We encourage you to know your personal limits and come prepared with the right gear, food, water, and clothing to keep your trip safe and enjoyable.
Payment & Refunds
Yes. Refund eligibility depends on timing and package type. You can read the full details in our Refund Policy. (https://www.roamreadytrips.com/refundpolicy)
We’ll do our best to adjust your itinerary. Major changes on short notice may require a $100 change fee. Especially if we need to rebook flights, lodging, or rentals. You’ll also be responsible for any price differences from new reservations.
