Feeling spontaneous? We can do last-minute requests! They are accepted on a case-by-case basis depending on our availability. A rush fee of $100 may be charged depending on trip complexity and the timeline.
We specialize in U.S. destinations, but also create international itineraries with the same level of care and detail.
Yes! Gift cards are available. These normally only cover our service fee. If you’d like to gift an entire trip—including flights, lodging, or activities—you can choose a custom amount. We’ll work directly with the recipient to design a trip they’ll love within that budget (and anything extra they’d like to add).

Payments & Refunds
We calculate our final cost based on three factors: trip length, complexity, and group size.
Final Price = Base Price × Trip Length Multiplier × Complexity Multiplier × Group Size Multiplier
Trip Length Multiplier
2–3 days → ×1
4–7 days → ×1.75
8–14 days → ×2.5
Complexity Multiplier
This accounts for logistics, destination remoteness, or special research (permits, gear, etc.).
Low complexity (easy access, few stops) → ×1
Medium complexity (some logistics, gear recommendations) → ×1.3
High complexity (remote, multi-stop, specialized permits) → ×1.6
Group Size Multiplier
Solo or couple (1–2) → ×1
Small group (3–5) → ×1.3
Large group (6+) → ×1.5
Example: 7-day Road Trip for 2 people, medium complexity
Basecamp Plan = $150
Length (4–7 days) = ×1.75
Complexity = ×1.3
Group = ×1
= $150 × 1.75 × 1.3 × 1 = $341 starting price
We require our service fee upfront before planning begins. Once we accept your request to book, we’ll send an invoice and start planning after your payment. For our Summit Plan and our Fly + Explore add-on, we’ll provide a quote for third-party costs (flights, lodging, rentals, activities) for your approval. After your approval, we’ll handle the bookings and send a final, itemized invoice so you know exactly what you’re paying for.
Absolutely! We design both budget-friendly and luxury trips, tailored to what you’re comfortable spending. Your pre-trip survey includes space to share your max budget, which covers flights, accommodations, transportation, and pre-paid activities. We’re fully transparent. Nothing gets booked without your approval, and your final invoice with Summit Plans come with an itemized breakdown.
Yes. Refund eligibility depends on timing and package type. You can read the full details in our Refund Policy.
We’ll do our best to adjust your itinerary. Major changes on short notice may require a $100 change fee—especially if we need to rebook flights, lodging, or rentals. You’ll also be responsible for any price differences from new reservations.
Safety & Liability
No. We’re trip planners and consultants, not guides. You’re responsible for your own safety and decisions on the ground. We will connect you with trusted local guides if you want a guided experience.
