Our Founder's Story
I started Roam Ready because I was trapped in a paradox of my own making.
In my conservation management job, I spent every day making decisions and plans for everyone else, but when it came to my own life? I had nothing left. No energy, no mental bandwidth, just endless scrolling and streaming instead of doing the things I actually loved.
Then I noticed a pattern: whenever someone invited me on a weekend trip, something simple, something already planned, I'd go. I'd pack up, head out, and come back feeling recharged, grounded, and more like myself.
That's when it clicked: I wasn't lacking desire for adventure. I was lacking a plan.
And I couldn't be the only one.
Roam Ready was born to bridge that gap. To give busy, burned-out people a way to say yes to something memorable without the mental load of planning it themselves.
What most people don't know, is that my path to Roam Ready wasn't the easiest.
